SmartScan is a web data extraction tool that lets you collect publicly available information from any website — emails, phone numbers, links, images, social profiles, metadata, and more. No coding required. Just paste a URL, select what to extract, and download a clean ZIP with structured results.

SmartScan works on most websites, including many dynamic (JavaScript-rendered) ones. However, some sites use anti-bot protection — Cloudflare challenges, CAPTCHAs, IP rate limits, or login requirements — that may affect results. We do not guarantee 100% compatibility with all websites.

Some websites also restrict access by geographic location. Since SmartScan runs from its own server (EU-based), sites that block non-local IPs may return empty or error results — even if the site opens normally in your browser.

SmartScan can extract:

All results are packaged into a downloadable ZIP with TXT, CSV, and JSON files.

Single Page — extracts data from exactly one URL you provide.

Crawl Site — starts at your URL and automatically follows internal links, scanning multiple pages from the same domain. You control the page limit. Available to registered users (free).

Sitemap — paste a sitemap.xml URL and SmartScan will extract all page URLs from it and scan them automatically. Useful when you already know the site structure or want to target specific sections. Available to registered users (free).

Bulk Scan — paste a list of URLs (up to 100 URLs) and scan all of them in one go. Results are combined into a single ZIP. Available to registered users (free).

In HTML mode (default), SmartScan fetches the raw HTML response — fast and lightweight, works for most static sites.

In JS Render mode, SmartScan uses a real browser engine to load the page, execute JavaScript, and wait for dynamic content to appear. This is slower but required for SPAs and JavaScript-heavy websites.

When enabled during a Crawl, SmartScan automatically prioritizes pages that commonly contain contact information — such as /contact, /about, /team, and /support. These are scanned first, maximizing the chance of finding emails and phone numbers with fewer page requests.

Yes — any registered user can schedule scans to repeat daily, weekly, or monthly. Set up a schedule from the main extraction form (under Advanced Settings → Repeat). Scheduled scans run automatically and appear in your Dashboard.

AI Insights is an AI-generated analysis report included with every scan for registered users. After each extraction, SmartScan automatically analyzes the page content and produces:

• Website category — what type of business or site it is
• 2–3 sentence summary — a concise description of what the site does
• Business signals — key observations useful for sales, research or outreach
• Important pages — links to the most relevant sections (contact, pricing, about, etc.)

The report is accessible via a public shareable link — useful for presenting findings to clients or teammates without sending raw data files.

Common reasons:

• The website uses anti-bot protection (Cloudflare, CAPTCHA)
• The content is loaded dynamically — try switching to JS Render mode
• The target page requires login to view content
• The server returned an error (5xx) or timed out
• The selected extraction targets don't match what's on the page (e.g., scanning for emails on a page that has none)

Monthly scan quota resets on the 1st of each month (UTC). Every scanned page counts as 1 — a single-page scan uses 1, a crawl of 30 pages uses 30. Guest users (not logged in) get 30 scans/month per IP. Registered accounts get 1,000 scans/month — free. Your current usage is shown in the Dashboard and Profile page.
