What is SmartScan?
SmartScan is a web data extraction tool that lets you collect publicly available information from any website — emails, phone numbers, links, images, social profiles, metadata, and more. No coding required. Just paste a URL, select what to extract, and download a clean ZIP with structured results.
Does SmartScan work on any website?
SmartScan works on most websites, including many dynamic (JavaScript-rendered) ones. However, some sites use anti-bot protection — Cloudflare challenges, CAPTCHAs, IP rate limits, or login requirements — that may affect results. We do not guarantee 100% compatibility with all websites.

What data can SmartScan extract?
SmartScan can extract:
  • Emails and contact info
  • Phone numbers
  • Internal and external links
  • Social media profiles (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, etc.)
  • Images and document links (PDF, DOC)
  • Page text, headings, and main content
  • SEO metadata (title, description, Open Graph, canonical, structured data)
All results are packaged into a downloadable ZIP with TXT, CSV, and JSON files.

Scans & Modes

What's the difference between Single Page, Crawl Site, and Bulk Scan?
Single Page — extracts data from exactly one URL you provide.

Crawl Site — starts at your URL and automatically follows internal links, scanning multiple pages from the same domain. You control the page limit. Available on Starter and above.

Bulk Scan — paste a list of URLs (up to your plan's limit) and scan all of them in one job. Results are combined into a single ZIP. Available on Starter and above.
What does "JS Render" mode do?
In HTML mode (default), SmartScan fetches the raw HTML response — fast and lightweight, works for most static sites.

In JS Render mode, SmartScan uses a real browser (Playwright/Chromium) to load the page, execute JavaScript, and wait for dynamic content to appear. This is slower but required for SPAs and JavaScript-heavy websites.
What is Contact Discovery?
When enabled during a Crawl, SmartScan automatically prioritizes pages that commonly contain contact information — such as /contact, /about, /team, and /support. These are scanned first, maximizing the chance of finding emails and phone numbers with fewer page requests.
Can I schedule recurring scans?
Yes — Starter plans and above can schedule scans to repeat daily, weekly, or monthly. Set up a schedule from the main extraction form (under Advanced Settings → Repeat). Scheduled scans run automatically and appear in your Dashboard.
Why did my scan fail or return empty results?
Common reasons:
  • The website uses anti-bot protection (Cloudflare, CAPTCHA)
  • The content is loaded dynamically — try switching to JS Render mode
  • The target page requires login to view content
  • The server returned an error (5xx) or timed out
  • The selected extraction targets don't match what's on the page (e.g., scanning for emails on a page that has none)

Plans & Limits

How do daily scan limits work?
Each plan includes a daily extraction quota that resets at midnight UTC. Guest users (not logged in) are limited to 1 scan per day per IP. Free registered accounts get 3 scans/day. Paid plans offer 50–1000+ scans per day. Your current usage is shown in the Dashboard.
What's the difference between plans?

  • Free — 3 scans/day, single page only, 7-day history
  • Starter ($5.99/mo) — 50 scans/day, scheduled scans, 30-day history
  • Pro ($19.99/mo) — 200 scans/day, crawl up to 100 pages, bulk up to 200 URLs, auto rendering, full scan history
  • Business ($52.99/mo) — 1000 scans/day, crawl up to 1000 pages, bulk up to 1000 URLs, priority processing
How long is my scan history stored?
Scan records and ZIP files are automatically deleted after 90 days from the scan date, regardless of plan. Download your results before they expire. The Dashboard shows all scans within your current plan's history window.
Can I try SmartScan before buying?
Yes. Create a free account (no credit card required) and get 3 scans per day. We strongly recommend testing on your target URL before upgrading to confirm the Service meets your needs.

Billing & Cancellation

How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to Profile → Subscription → Cancel subscription. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period — you won't lose access immediately. After that, your account automatically returns to the Free tier.
Can I get a refund?
Refund requests are reviewed case-by-case. If SmartScan doesn't work for your target website, contact support with the URL and scan details — we'll investigate and may offer a refund, plan extension, or bonus credits depending on the situation.

Will my price change if you update pricing?
We will notify active subscribers at least 14 days before any price change. You may cancel without penalty before the new pricing takes effect.
